Director – Human Resources
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Responsible for providing leadership in developing and directing all aspects of the Bank's Human Resources function including Bank culture, and by implementing human resources strategies which support the Bank's mission, vision and overall business plan.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.
• College courses and/or specialized training in human resources are preferred.
• Must have a minimum of five years human resources management experience, including
a working knowledge of relevant employment laws.
• Must have proven ability to attract and retain outstanding talent and assemble and
motivate high performance teams.
• Must be PC literate with knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
• A familiarity with payroll processing software is required.
• Requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills.
• Must exhibit professional behaviors and appearance and be aware of the importance of teamwork within the human resources department.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for supervising the Human Resources Assistant. Within the framework of established budgetary and policy guidelines, recommends salary and disciplinary actions as needed.

Physical and Mental Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move about; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must have the ability to operate a personal computer and express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. The employee may be required to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to lift or move 10+ pounds.
Mental requirements include the ability to read, write, reason, problem solve and perform mathematical calculations.
The noise level in the primary work environment is usually moderate i.e., business office with computer printer, and light traffic. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
Directs the human resources department to include:
working with Senior Leadership of the Bank in establishing and enhancing the human resources function to support the strategic direction of the Bank;

ensuring proper administration of employee benefits and maintaining related benefits documentation;
III. Employee Relations
responding to employee questions regarding Bank policies, payroll, benefits, and other human resources related issues;
IV. Talent and Performance Management
providing assistance and advice to supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance, disciplinary and termination issues;
V. Talent Acquisition
Assess and advise Bank Leadership in talent needs particularly in regard to the Bank's strategic direction;
VI. Training and Career Development
assess the training needs of employees in light of strategic direction and design a training program to meet those needs;
VII. Legal and Compliance
ensuring that the Bank is in compliance with relevant state/federal employment and record keeping laws;
